Growing broccoli sprouts is fairly easy. However, if you are planning on sprouting greens on a daily basis, you may prefer an automatic sprouter. It simply takes the work out of the process.
These cool gadgets water your plants for you and keep them at the proper moisture for optimal growth. Now, you don’t have to continually rinse them. Plus, your broccoli sprouts will probably grow bigger and greener – without extra effort from you.
This Sprouter is Affordable
The Tribest Freshlife 3000 is a really cool automatic sprouter that is much more affordable than other systems. One of the downsides of these electric appliances is that they can get expensive, many over $200.
Although they may be worth it to the lifetime grower, it’s still nice to save a few bucks and get a machine that essentially does the same thing.
You Can Grow Lots of Different Sprouts at One Time
Another feature that I like about the Freshlife 3000 is that you can grow up to 3 levels of sprouts at one time. Of course, this lets you grow more at one time, but it also allows you to grow different types of sprouts in each tray.
I like buying seed mixes because they are much better for making salads where you want a variety of flavors and textures. Growing sprouts in different trays enables you to either combine the greens or use them separately.
That said, each try contains 4 different sections, so you can actually grow 4 different greens in a single tray! This video shows how to do it:
Automatic Watering is Less Work & Grows More Sprouts
The automatic watering system also has adjustable water pressure. Therefore, you can change the amount of water your plants receive depending on what you are growing. It is a nice feature to promote optimal growth.
In addition, this machine has a detachable power cord. This lets you hand water your sprouts if you want. Plus, if you don’t have a power outlet available, you can still use the sprouter. So versatile!
How to Live Healthier with Less Cost and Less Effort…
Like other sprouters, no soil is required for growing. You don’t need chemicals or special lighting either. This home-growing system translates to less work and less mess for the home gardener who wants to wants to grow his or her own organic greens.
Since I’ve started growing sprouts at home, I find it much easier (and way cheaper!) to eat organically everyday. Seriously! Plus, using a wide variety of greens provides a larger number of nutrients.
I use the sprouts as the base to my salads instead of lettuce, and then I throw other veges, nuts and seeds on top. Sometimes I add organic hard boiled eggs, grilled chicken or wild caught fish on top.
Grow Wheatgrass Too?

The sprouts that you grow in your Freshlife 3000 are up to you. However, the Sproutman has some favorites. He recommends buckwheat lettuce, baby sunflower, garlic chives, pea shoots, quinoa, cabbage, broccoli, turnip, kale, radish, clover, fenugreek and alfalfa.
