I am a big fan of this stuff. I always feel so refreshed after drinking one.
Actually, the Amazing Grass Cacao Chocolate is my favorite flavor – but I will eat any of these powders. The chocolate is so concentrated that I can use 1 heaping tablespoon in a 4-cup shake, and it disguises the flavor of any extra veges I put in there.
Typically, I cram a bunch of stuff in my shakes, so having a superfood powder with good flavor is key. Here are some of the things I add:
- Spinach
- Cucumber
- Avocado
- Flax Seeds
- Shredded Unsweetened Coconut
- Unflavored Pea Protein Powder
- Unsweetened Almond Milk
- Ice
- A Small Pinch of Stevia
The bigger (100-serving) containers are definitely a better deal as far as price goes, but if you’ve never tried Amazing Grass products before, I’d suggest starting with a smaller container. This is definitely not your super sweet whey protein powder mix. In fact, if you prefer drinks less sweet, you’ll probably like this (and you can always add stevia).
The bottom line is that if you’re looking for a low-fat, low sugar, low carb shake mix that is highly nutritious with no fake additives (like me), you’ll appreciate this mix. It’s by far the best thing I’ve found.
